Welcome!

We will give you a brief history of the farm operation and how our farm is much different from others.

"Winter sunset 2010"    A view on the farm.

I first want to thank you for taking a little time to check out our website and farm information. My name is Kipp and I want to give you a little background on our farm. I graduated from Virginia Tech in 1992 and started working for commercial farms. I worked for dairies, beef cattle farms, and even a buffalo farm. Though I enjoyed working for these big operations, the hours were very long, with very little income. Sometimes I disagreed with the practices used on these operations which is normal for anyone working for someone else.  I noticed with time, a lot of the practices were driven by industry and corporations and were used to make higher gross profits, despite the impact without looking at the whole picture and overall bottom line. I have met a lot of people over the years and was surprised how little most people know about agriculture, and their food supply. I felt that I could make an impact on a small scale and pursue my dream to farm and produce a better product. I purchased the farm in 2000. Shortly after that I met my soul mate, Danielle. We started the farm opertion and with a lot of sweat, hard work, and tears along the way. We got married in 2005. She is an animal lover and grew up on a Paso Fino horse farm so she is not afraid of hard work. She works at the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine as a licensed veterinary technician and assists in all aspects of the farm operation. I run an technology support company called Southern Virginia Technology Solutions as my off the farm job. You can find more information at my companies website at www.svtsitpros.com.

Since we want to be better then the rest, we strive to make the biggest impact by raising the highest quality food products. By raising products in a pastured environment, we produce not only a healthier animal, which provides a better quality of life for everyone, also giving the animals a happy life while they are alive versus life in a feed-lot, or confined housing operation.

Through direct marketing of our products, we have an opportunity to interact with people and provide a product that you will not find in any grocery store. It is our belief that by impacting one person at a time, we will change the face of agriculture and people will demand higher quality food products; putting pressure on the government and the commercial industry to change.  If you would like to know more about our pasture raised farm products click on our farm products page and see what you can have on your table for you and your family.

Once again, thank you.
